Rescheduled for May 22-24th 2020!
HorrorHound Weekend: Cincinnati March 2020 event was set to be our 30th convention in 13 years. HorrorHound Weekend has endured all this time because of the amazing relationship we have with our attendees, vendors, celebrity guests, and fellow horror fans from around the world who enjoy these events as much as we enjoy hosting them.
Over the past few weeks, we have been following the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak in an effort to see if or how it would impact our upcoming event. Initially We attempted to work with the convention center to make sure things would be handled with the utmost safety and caution, reviewing and increasing safety and cleaning procedures that would make everyone that attends or works at HorrorHound Weekend feel comfortable and secure despite the climate of worry and concern in the air and we are glad to report the fan, city, and location support was amazing during that time.
However, a lot has changed in the past few days. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced during a press conference (3/13/20) a total ban on mass gatherings in a single room of over 100 people for the State of Ohio.
Invigorated by the quick responses of support by the cities of Cincinnati and Sharonville and by local businesses who wish to keep HorrorHound Weekend: Cincinnati a reality in 2020, We are proud to announce that The Sharonville Convention Center was able to secure new dates for HorrorHound Weekend and the show will go on May 22-24th (Memorial Day weekend), pending any additional unforeseen changes to governmental policy or extension thereof. We reached out to our hotels and were given reassurances that they would work with Us, our Vendors, and our Fans to make those dates work and to accommodate everyone to the best of their ability. All tickets will be honored for these new dates at purchase value. if you are unable to attend this new date, we will honor your event tickets for any future HHW events. Also all tickets are completely transferable to other person(s). Celeb Photo Ops will also be working on a policy for both carrying over pre-purchased ops that can be transferred or upgraded or canceled. (All questions or concerns regarding purchased photo ops can be addressed to email@example.com.)
We are a small family-owned business and we are committed to keeping HorrorHound Weekend alive. We love these events and we feel tremendous sorrow and pain for the vendors, managers, filmmakers, supporters, and everyone else who relies on this event to pay their bills. Including the local hotels, restaurants, car service companies, center event staff, and local businesses that enjoy an economic boost from the thousands of visitors HorrorHound Weekend brings every year. This is why we ask that everyone visit the web sites of our amazing vendors. Support them, as some of them rely on conventions as their sole Source of income and the convention industry has been truly devastated over the past few weeks, leaving many uncertain of their future. We are all family in this world of Horror Fandom, and hopefully we can help hold each other up and get through these difficult times.
We would like to thank you for your support and thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to work through the details, contracts, communications, and other obstacles related to this situation in the coming days and weeks. Look for additional posts and information on all HorrorHound Sites and Social Networking pages for updates as we are able to provide them.
