That's right guys and especially ghouls.  It's WOMEN IN HORROR RECOGNITION MONTH!

I'm proud to be a woman in this industry and there are many greats that came before me, and a lot currently making waves and carving a bloody path through the land of horror.  We're able to keep up with the boys and hold our own severed heads high.

Here at HorrorHound.com you can celebrate by posting about your favorite women in the land of horror, be it Charlaine Harris, Mary Shelley, Linnea Quigley, Vampira, Kathryn Bigelow...the list goes on and on.  Writers, directors, actresses, artists...you name it in the world of the scare women are everywhere.

So who's your favorite Lady of Horror? 

I've joined the facebook page.   Mary Shelley gets my vote because she has made a huge impact on horror.

I would love to see a day when more women will play the leading monster & not just a helpless/sexy victim or even an accomplice.
More women should be directing/writing/designing etc ...etc

Playing a disfigured monster would be my first choice if I was ever offered a chance to star in a horror film.

I vote for Tiffany Shepis

TIffany Shepis is the hardest working woman in horror and she is hot as hell!

Elsa Lanchester is another unforgettable woman in horror-classic.

Elvira!!!!!  Hands down!!!  She had her own beer!!! Come on?

While I love all the women in horror [everyone I've met have been sweethearts and cool as hell to talk to...call me Jill Whitlow ;-)], my respect goes to those bust their asses the hardest. This includes you Jessica. Hope we can raise a glass and act like asses again in Indy. \m/
