I always love these threads, because so many of us are collectors. I'm trying to think of stuff I haven't talked about a lot on here and keep the list at 3. I have only been collecting for the past few years and have been fortunate enough to get a lot of stuff, so many of it has a special place for me for different reasons. BUT I will limit it to 3. lol

1. Cradle of Filth 2009 tour poster signed by the band, was able to meet them backstage in Cleveland last year.

2. Star Wars 16x20, acquired from Official Pix, signed by Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Kenny Baker, Peter Mayhew and David Prowse. God willing, I will get this signed by Anthony Daniels next month.

3.  Book of Eli signed cd booklet by directors The Hughes Brothers and composer Atticus Ross. Book of Eli is an amazing film, but I can remember being 18 or so and seeing Menace 2 Society in theatres. Warner Brothers records was offering them for sale and signed for just the regular price of the soundtrack.

I try to draw, paint, or sculpt things to have signed by people - sometimes I do replicas of props, sometimes portraits...it makes things more personal.

Last HHW, I did a replica of the toilet paper missive Dollarhyde sends to "Lektor" in Michael Mann's MANHUNTER, and asked Tom Noonan to sign it.  He was pretty wowed - he asked me where I got it - and when I told him I made it - he told me a supercool story about how Mann (who is a slave to authenticity) put him in a "clean room" to write the letter so he wouldn't leave any particulate evidence.  Noonan told me that he altered his handwriting to do the note (which surprised me, since most often, props like that are art designed - the actor doesn't have anything to do with them).  He said I completely nailed his writing.

Anyway - it's gonna' be really hard to think of just three...

I've got a Japanese "chirashi" promo poster for KILL BILL signed by Michael Madsen, Michael Jai White, David Carradine, and Quentin Tarantino (I had Carradine sign my laserdisc copy of SONNY BOY at the same time, and everyone busted his balls about the utterly demented film.  Really funny day).

Simon Pegg, Edgar Wright, and Nick Frost signed my British SHAUN OF THE DEAD poster.

Robert Englund has signed just about everything in my house - including a painting I did of Freddy.

Naomie Harris signed a 28 DAYS LATER poster for me.

I've got my laserdisc of THEY LIVE signed by Roddy Piper and John Carpenter (I'll be adding Meg Foster to that in a few months).  Carpenter also scribbled on my Halloween DVD (along with Charles Cyphers, Nancy Loomis, and P.J. Soles), my Escape from New York laserdisc (Adrienne Barbeau and Tom Atkins are on that, too), and my Big Trouble in Little China DVD.  In case you haven't noticed - Carpenter is one of my absolute favorite filmmakers.

Rhona Mitra signed my French DOOMSDAY poster (and I'm thinking Malcolm McDowell should have a go at that, as well).

Probably my most beloved signed thing would be the pair of replica 9mm Berettas I had signed by John Woo and Chow Yun Fat.  I love Woo's Hong Kong output - especially THE KILLER - and to have met both of those men was a dream come true.  The tale of the meeting is a weird, funny, and beloved memory for me, so the items have a truly special significance.  If my home was burning to the ground, I'd rush in to save those guns.

We have a winner!

The only autographs I have are of the majority of the '85 Bears on a Black and Blues Brothers poster.  Oh and Sid Haig on a napkin because I made my little sister watch House of 1,000 Corpses so many times she recognized him at the airport.

2) A letter written to me by Quentin Tarantino, signed by him on "Pulp Fiction" stationary.

3) My "Pittsburgh Movie Collection," a miscellaneous assortment of signatures from people I met when they were in the 'Burgh making films: John Cusack, Michael Keaton, Bruce Willis, Tim Robbins, John Landis, Wallace Shawn, Diane Ladd, Tom Atkins, George Romero (and George's ex-wife/actress Christine Forrest Romero), Olympia Dukakis and the late, great Brion James.

i can't remember everything I have - so I will just look around and pick three things I have hanging on my walls.

That Perryman (L.G.) sig is awesome and now, unfortunately very rare due to his death last year. I was totally  shocked to hear about his death one night last year on the local news. He was apparently axed to death in his front yard by young man who was certifiable and was drunk and off his meds. The most surprising thing about the news though was that Perryman ACTUALLY lived about two miles away from MY home in a nearby trailer park community. R.I.P Lou Perryman, thanks for all the laughs.
