The rumors have been floating in the air, as they have in the years leading up to this - the 20th anniversary of the film. When will Monster Squad finally be released onto DVD? Why haven't we already received a disc? Whats the meaning of life? All of these questions have bothered us HorrorHounds for nearly ten years, but no more! Whats the word? Monster Squad WILL be released onto DVD this year! When this year? It cant be said... yet. What will be on the disc? Cant say (sorry)... but the term 'bare bones' will NOT be linked to this release - that we CAN tell you. Who's releasing it? Of all companies, it turns out Lionsgate can be named as our savior. Is there anything else that can POSSIBLY be revealed? Not from us and not about the DVD... but we can say - this March will be EXTRA special to Monster Squad fans. Why?...

HorrorHound #6 will be on sale this March in all major booksellers across North America (including Barnes and Noble, Borders, Chapters, Indigo, B. Daltons) and inside will be a very special retrospective on the film in question: MONSTER SQUAD! Our exciting series of retrospects focuses on this Fred Dekker gem and features new interviews with the cast and crew (including Dekker himself, Andre Gower, Steve Wang and more) as well as a peek at the many promotional items produced for the film (as much as we could find that is). No other magazine has given the Squad this much focus and its just the tip of the ice berg.... Read the article this March and buy the DVD later this year!
