About the HorrorHound ICON Award

The HorrorHound ICON Award is the evolution of HorrorHound’s Lifetime Achievement Award, which was launched in 2009 in a ceremony honoring the career of Clive Barker. Additional names given this annual award include Lin Shaye, Elvira, Dick Miller, and Barbara Steele. Post-pandemic, the HorrorHound team rechristened the award as the “ICON,” with aim to honor names who have not only had a storied career in the industry – but for those who have given their all to elevate the horror genre as a whole. Not only starring in, or directing projects, but helping further the careers of those in the industry as producers, writers, and mentors.
